New Service (2014) - Credential/Credencial

First of all, thank you very much for reading this post.

I’m writing this thread because I had an idea this early morning regarding the Credential/Credencial do Peregrino. After Albertinho requested me to buy 2 credenciais (one for him, and one for his wife), I had a wonderful idea.

For those who are interested in buying one before you arrive to Portugal (either if you start from Lisbon, Porto, Fatima, Tomar, or whatever), I’ve decided to create a service to send Credenciais from Portugal to abroad.

The value of the Credencial its 2€, but I’m willing to do it for the same price. So now you can either choose if you want to have it before you arrive to Portugal, or if you rather prefer to have it before you leave your country. Simple has that

For the ones interested, you can send me an email to metalmelitia666@gmail.com, that I will send to you the information’s that I need to buy your Credencial. You can pay either via International Bank Transference or via PayPal. Once again you choose.

I’m not making this for the money, I’m making this to help you all!

The Credencials are 15.5cm in height, and 10cm wide. They have 6 pages with a 8 stamps space, or 48 total possible stamps, making each Credencial to last at maximum 24 days. Just don’t forget that you have to stamp twice each day.

How to order your Credential​

You just have to send an email to metalmelitia666@gmail.com with the following informations:
- Name (First and Last name);
- Number of Passport or ID Card;
- Gender;
- Age;
- How will you do your Pilgrimage.

Price per Credential: 2€
Price for Normal Postal Service: 1,25€
Price for Priority Mail: 1,75€
All payments must be made in Euros €, which means that you must do the convertion of the total value from your order to this coin, and after that send the money.

This informations are confidential, and they serve to fulfill a form that the Lisbon Cathedral gives with the Credentials, to be sent to Via Lusitana.

You must also send your choice for the payment. Will you do it via Paypal, or International Bank Transfer.

After all the data are confirmed, the Credential is sent, via normal mail, with an expected arrival time from 5 to 8 working days (it could be faster, depending of the country). If you wish to have your credential sent via Priority Mail, you have to had 1,75€ to your payment.

All Credentials are bought on Friday's, and sent on Monday mornings (just not to loose more days stoped).

WARNING: I'm not responsible for any problem with the mail system. A second Credential could be sent free of charges, but I can't guarantee to you that it won't be lost has the first one. Priority Mail has a Tracking System, so if you think that that it's best for you, just follow the procedures.

A great idea Diogo. Just to say though, that anybody in the UK can get a credential from Peterborough Pilgrims (just google them). They will get it to you fairly quickly and will ease some of the burden from Diogo. Looking forward with some trepidation to the camino from Porto starting 11th May.
