Time of past OR future Camino
Late September
Hi all

There’s 30mm rain forecasted tomorrow for my walk from Beldorado onwards to Burgos. Thinking I might take a rest day or skip ahead a bit.

Any recommendations on a lovely spot to stay for a night?

Thanks heaps :)

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Albergue/Hotel San Anton Abad in Villafranca Montes de Oca has a good reputation and a great restaurant and would give you a short day. BUT, note the big but, for Restaurant Como Sapiens in Atapuerca I would walk through a biblical downpour (or get a taxi ;))

Snap! :)

Was to say i heard good things about St.Anton Abad as well. But also have to say, i can't think of many things to do in Villafranca (Oca). Not exactly a vibrant town.

Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP

I had my best days in those non vibrant towns. Rabé de las Calzadas springs to mind.
I love the concept of one bar , one hostal / albergue, one church and two benches with local folk. And oh yes, the local tienda that opens between four and seven in the afternoon.

I second this recommendation of Como Sapiens in Atapuerca! And do try to get to the Atapuerca site itself, too!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

I have had many stays in San Anton. Fantastic Peregrino menu with multiple choices and always profuse amounts of vino tinto. Dori, one of the hosts, is soooo posh!
