Hi Pelegrinos!

My name is Marie and It's the fourth time I'll be walking Compostelle. I've started in France and did Le Puy en Velay to Saint-Jean in two times, the first one from half way (Cahors) to St Jean, the second backward because i was interviewing pilgrims along the way, and finally the last time, 2 years ago on the Camino Francès around 900km.
Of course I LOVED it and I'm back starting from Lisbon on the 24th of July, first week with my mum and the whole way with my tiny dog Noisette (Hazelnut : my favorite Italian ice-cream flavor) and i might be joined by some friends...but who knows really? New friends probably ;)

I think I'll be sharing some of my journey on my blog (articles, photos, videos and painting) but not everyday because i want to be disconnected!

Feel free to give me any good tips or recommandations about the Portuguese camino, right now I'm trying to find a way to walk the coastal way from Lisbon...not too sure it's possible yet.

Looking froward to meet some of you along the way!
Buen Camino

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Bom Caminho! Walked the Portugues last year and loved it!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Does Noisette actually walk the whole way or do you carry her in a pouch part of the time? Is she always allowed in the albergues and gites? Just curious. ☺
BTW, lovely photo of you and your mom.

@Goldylocks I don't want to put a downer on your plans, but my friend Annette tried to walk the Portuguese with her small dog and eventually had to take her home, at great cost.

Firstly the dog refused to walk (Annette's recounting of this was hilarious). Then she could not find accommodation that was prepared to have her dog (she smuggled her inside), and also was not allowed to transport her on buses - which was part of the great cost of taking her home. She finished up by paying a taxi to transport them 200km in order to get to an airport to take the dog home. It cost her a fortune and neither she nor the dog enjoyed it! One of those situations that was very unpleasant at the time but makes a great story afterwards.

I obviously don't know all the details, but be aware that the situation regarding dogs in Spain and Portugal is very different to France, where dogs are accepted everywhere.
