The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Who would believe it? - I would. Los Arcos was crowded back in early Sept and whilst the good Autumn weather lasts pilgrims will try to complete their Camino before the first snows at the Cruz de Ferro. So very much "Buen Camino" and be prepared for tomorrow.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
This is my second day out of Burgos and things seem pretty quiet. I kind of noticed that not many people want to date in the somewhat gray and rainy weather. I hope that my parents tried before the morning. They were absolutely caked with mud! Lots of good people on the trail right now. Fun times.

Yes, plenty of pilgrims everywhere! We stayed at Hotel Monaco 3 nights ago. It didn't seem full and there were only 5 of us down for breakfast the next morning ... but there was a steady stream of pilgrims out of town as dawn was breaking. Buen Camino!

Staying in Uterga tonight at the excellent Albergue Camino del Perdon. The Camino is providing good company but not excessive crowds at all, so far. I am enjoying myself immensely!

Great news, delighted to hear that there are still plenty of Pilgrims, I'm starting again from Logrona on Sunday wondering if anyone could answer quick question, what time does the average person leave in the morning, my past two Camino's were in Summer so I usually left at 6.30am, with the mornings so dark & no midday heat is there any need to go this early? Guess I'm concerned about walking on my own in the dark too?

Most people are getting on the road about 8 AM. Just an observation. The weather has been so strange the last few days that some of us have gotten out a bit later. For example, yesterday was a long wet muddy slog so this morning I personally stayed in until about half nine. Tomorrow though, I hope to be out the door by 7:30 AM. Weather is supposed to be decent tomorrow. I think that you're knocked over, because the weather is so variable. A lot of the time it all is just a little bit weather dependent.

Thanks! yeah I was presuming the start may not be as early, I'm bit nervous about the weather, really hope the weather is dry next week
