Greetings!
OK, silly question but...in light of reading recent threads that address the requirement of using an “official” credencial, does it matter what year the credencial was issued? For example, my wife and I were planning to go back for a second Camino Frances this year. We received the official credencials and were getting ready for the trip, but circumstances forced us to delay the trip, then eventually cancel altogether for this year. So, we now have official credencials and are making plans to try again in 2019. I know it’s a silly question, but are we required to have credencials that were issued in the year of the trip, or can we use our 2018 creds? I’m trying not to run afoul of the rules and be unpleasantly surprised in SdC at the Pilgrim Office! There is no “issue date” on the passport, but the cover seems to change every year. Does this matter? (Clearly I tend to overthink things just a bit...) 😉

St James' Way - Self-guided 4-7 day Walking Packages, Reading to Southampton, 110 kms
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Dear Tracker
No need to worry, it does not matter when the credentials were issued. Youwill be perfectly fine with your 2018 ones. Buen camino!
