Very much but, respectfully, the person who started the thread did name it ‘one day at a time, one photo at a time’. We are all here because we enjoy sharing and seeing/hearing others stories and I truly do look forward each day to another story from all contributors. I suspect this is going to last quite some time until the world is vaccinated so I am in no hurry to share all my photos or stories. Just my two cents worth...I appreciate that but isn’t having a story behind the pictures a part of this thread? The media it’s only pictures. I like reading and telling stories and seeing the picture/pictures that inspired the words. Don’t you?
Thanks for your two cents, I’m in no hurry either. I was just over zealous I suppose when I found a place where those who contribute really understand what a Camino means. Or perhaps inspire those who don’t.Very much but, respectfully, the person who started the thread did name it ‘one day at a time, one photo at a time’. Your contributions will most certainly not only understood but valued! We are a special group because of the parts that make us up!Thanks for your two cents, I’m in no hurry either. Time for a break.Continuing our wonderful sharing on a new thread. (Haha, please don't feel shy to post here again today even if you already posted in the other thread! And don't worry about repeating yourself — none of us are the same people we were 6 months ago nor do we have the same eyes.)
Today's choice is inspired by @JohnLloyd's shadowplay yesterday:

Sorry, I don't think we can help this time. Have had a look through our photos and do not recognise this church. Have you any idea where it is near? You walked from Porto? Did you walk the interior route or coastal route? We walked the interior way through Vilarinho, Barcelos, Ponte de Lima, Rubiaes and Tui, then onto Santiago through Pontevedra.Igreja on the Camino Portugues in 2015.
Unfortunately I forgot to write down the name.
I hope @Anne&Pat can once again help me out...

You are right! We do have a photo of it but from a different angle!!No worries. It was the interior. Certainly after Vila do Conde and before Ponte de Lima. Mental note to self : write more down when walking!
Cheers for the help!
EDIT : It actaully might be in Ponte de Lima self afterall if I look at the order of all my pics.
Yes ! The main church ! https://www.feriasemportugal.com/igreja-matriz-de-ponte-de-lima
Cute, really cute!I am doing an irreversible cleaning of my laptop. Before I do, here is a photo that might elicit matching feelings of delight, elation, incredulity...
Normally, I prefer images without myself but this one cannot be edited!

The Camino Sanabrés is a lovely camino! Reading through the links above that @SabineP posted will give you a good overview of the route! There are options for a starting point. The Gronze guide in particular gives a good overview of all the options for this route. Please tell me more about this Sanabres you speak of. So beautiful
Yes, I walked through it May 2016. Very moving.Santiago de Compostela, May, 2016. The Cathedrals Holy Door was open then.

AmazingOn the left, the Iglesia Señora da Agualada and in the middle, one of the hamlet's 81 residents. At the time I didn't know the name of the church - there wasn't any info, but spent some time looking at the inscriptions and carvings on the exterior. I came across this photo in my files this morning as I was choosing a photo today. Did a bit of research online. Historically, it's an important place on the camino.

What memories that photo evokes. We remember standing in the queue waiting to get in on a very hot day and making camino friends with the other folks in the queue. We actually had dinner with a young man from England that evening who was standing behind us, who had run 50 kms that day, with a tiny backpack!View attachment 91205

You got it ! I didn't think it would be found that quickly. I was so happy to capture that shot. I didn't know at the time what it was. Great architecture. I wonder if it's being used...City of Culture?
I remember reading somewhere that you gain 8km of height on the Francés route from St-Jean to Santiago, only to give it all back along the way.The never ending steps going down and down and down after Markina on del Norte
