Pieros to Villafranca How far?

My normally reliable CSJ guide has let me down. I recently walked via the vinyards from Pieros via Valtuille de Arriba to Viafranca and no distance was given. Anyone with a Brierly able to tell me?

Hi! According to JB;

Pieros - VdB is 5.7kms
Leon - Sarria is 202.3kms, but it's late and I might not be counting correctly.

I should have added that I walked the road route from Virgen del Camino to Hospital and the walkers route from Hospital to Astorga as there are some difference depending which route you took.

If you get a spare minute can you - or anyone else - adjust for that.

Not that I'm being cheeky you understand.

The Pieros to VdF figure was slightly longer than I thought, but I am not complaining!

No, my old China. You asked for Brierley distances and that's what you got.

Despite my constant moaning about JB I must admit I was quite chuffed with his guide from SdC to Finisterre. I know from several Caminos that I walk consistently at 5km per hour (including cigarette breaks), but on the last section from Cee to Fisterra according to the quoted distances I was walking at 7km per hour! Maybe if someone writes another guide I can walk even faster!

tyrrek, I'm chuffed. Thank you. I broke the 200km barrier and I didn't even realise it.

5km an hour? 4 was the highest I hit and that was downhill and with the wind behind my back. Most days it was a steady 3km.

I think Brierley from Cee to Fisterra is the distance to the zero marker, not downtown Fisterra, hence the apparent speed!

That may go some way towards explaining it. Even so, the interim villages came up very quickly as well. Maybe I was just desperate for a beer and had my drinking boots on.

Very appropriate in fact! When I arrived in SdC after my first Camino the first thing I posted on facebook was 'That's it! Arrived in Santiago after the longest pub crawl of my life.' Muchos buenos caminos!

I suppose the monks did originally too, no wonder they stayed for while @ each stop, sometimes taking 'years' to do their Caminos!

Oh mine was about 9 or 10am Lemonada, when I did really know what it was, boy did I walk quick that day, well I thought I was.......(apparently I got strange looks in the bars too, it was lovely
