Planning to walk the Camino Frances mid May 2018
Hello. I am researching at the moment for my Camino Frances next year. Like to start around late May from Pamplona. I will be coming from New Zealand flying to Madrid and then bus to Pamplona. I haven't found any Camino contact in NZ. What's the easier for me to get a pilgrim passport? Shall I email the fraternity in the U.K. or in Germany (I am German but live in NZ, am no longer registered in Germany) or shall I get my passport on arrival in Pamplona? Where? Am thinking that would be the easiest. But not sure whether am correct. Would I lose too much time in Pamplona? I am thinking to book 2 nights accommodation in Pamplona. Want to explore the city before starting off.
Do I need to get my passport stamped in Pamplona to show where I started?
Your help would be appreciated

Thanks in advance
Gabi

Hey bro, yeah nah, no worries (ok I'll ditch the kiwi speak). You can get a credential from the Camino store on this site as mentioned above, or if you have time in Madrid visit one of the larger churches there and ask for one as most churches in Spain have them, or in Pamplona. And yes, if you are starting in Pamplona get your first sello there, it doesn't have to be a church, we once had a hell of a time getting our first stamp and ended up getting a local post office to stamp it, the postmistress was delighted.

Have a great time, and give Jimmy a hug for me.

Thanks everyone. Found the site. Ordered it from Ivan along wth a notebook which will come in handy. Hopefully will all find its way safely to downunder. Another thing ticked off the to-do list.
