Planning my Camino

Camino Aragones or Frances (September 2015)
Hello Everyone,

I have decided to schedule my midlife crisis in August 2015. I have been obsessing about the Camino for over a year now. I have decided to quit my job (which I don't like) and begin in Toulouse and take my time to get to Santiago. I decided to visit Lourdes since I would be in the area, so not sure if I will do the Camino Frances or the Camino Aragones. But I have time to plan and research.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Hi and welcome Matt,

Love that sentence "I have decided to schedule my midlife crisis in August 2015." The Toulouse route is beautiful and personally, I would continue via the Aragones and join the Camino Frances in Puente la Reina. Until you have arrived there the worst of the pilgrim masses is over and you can enjoy a quieter, but not lonely, experience.
Buen Camino! SY

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hi Matt - welcome to the forum!

If you are going to schedule a midlife crisis, you could do far worse than to schedule it for while you are on the Camino! :)

Personally, my "midlife crisis" has been going on so long that "midlife" won't apply much longer...

Happy planning! Let us know which route you choose.

Thanks to everyone and a quick update: I decided to move up my crisis. I'll be walking from Toulouse around April 25th or 26th. I am very excited.

Matt, you have made a wonderful decision!
I began in Toulouse a few years back and walked from Lourdes.
It was a beautiful walk!
PM me if you want a link to my blog with some photos and info about that trip.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Matt...welcome to the Forum and the Class of 2015.

As I'm sure you are aware...and the above comments underscore my observation, there is a lot of experience here on the Forum and ready to assist at the drop of a walking stick.

Keep us in the loop and

Buen Camino,

Arn
