I had the traditional poles and had used them for years. I bought Pacerpoles after I broke my arm. I was worried that the wrist straps on my old ones with the normal design might cause pain on the break site, just under the wrist strap area. So after reading all the rave reviews I bought myself a set of Pacerpoles, because of the very different design of right hand grip. Am I a fan? Yes and no. I think the handle is fantastic. I think the technique in the instructions is great. But I really miss the spring tip of my old ones. After a few hundred km I get a slight but annoying jarring through my wrists and hands that I never had before. I've written to the Pacerpole maker but she just says read the instructions. I've checked my technique and I'm confident that I'm following the instructions. I've now now done several hundred km with my Pacerpoles so I've given them a good workout. Any feedback from other people who have used both would be really interesting.
