Hi, I'm working on plans for my Camino with a friend in March 2020. Due to health reasons, I can only manage limited kms per day and I'm looking for pensions/hotels rather than hostels. I can't see anything at all on the road between Pontevedra and Caldas de Reis, but lots of accommodation at either end. Do you think it's possible to break the journey with a taxi from somewhere like Valbon or Puente? If so, how would we get a taxi, and how much would we expect to pay? Thank you so much for any advice. I have been hunting through apps and booking pages and am stumped. Or any other suggestions?

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Tfno Tele Taxi Caldas de Reis: 886313077.
There are more companies: Google "Taxis Caldas de Reis".
Price: 1,1 euros/ km Monday to Friday
1,3 e/km weekends and holidays in Galicia

Gronze shows a couple, not including those places with refreshments only.
I don't know if it matters to you, but the 100km city for this route is Tui. Just so you know.
Edit: I just saw your note about wanting more private accomodation. Never mind, I tried to rustle info up on the Google map referred by the Gronze map page but I can never figure out where I am on those things. Sorry!

Ducks, I hurt my ankle near Pontevedra last year, so I hired a bike and cycled slowly beside the person I was with the next day. The bike was 15 euro to hire per day and the cycle hire shop told me to leave it locked at the next hostel and send the name to them by text. I can't remember the name of the cycle shop but the hostel that booked it for me said most bike hire places work like that on the Camino. A great service and I recommend using a bike slowly to anyone unfit or mildly injured like I was.

The hostel I stayed in was Albergue Aloxa, a very comfortable place. The receptionist there organised the bike hire for me and the bike was delivered there.

Hi - taxis are plentiful on this route - you will see tel nos posted regularly in towns and villages you pass through- even on trees!
Buen Camino

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
