Time of past OR future Camino
I am walking in March and April of 2019.
Hello world! I am flying to Spain in a week to walk the camino; I have been planning to walk my 2nd Camino Frances, but all of a sudden am thinking it might be fun to do a new walk, the Portuguese from Lisbon, as I have a month. Does anyone know if there are enough albergues open right now on the Portuguese, and other walkers to make it interesting?

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Hi I’m in the Algarve since Dec 8th until March 8th (escaping sub-zero temperatures at home in Ottawa). I’m not able to walk a Camino right now because I have my 11 year old dog with me BUT I’ll walk next year at this time because the temps are perfect 10-20C and even when it rains it’s not long lasting. You would need your sleeping bag or a down quilt as it’s damp and chilly at night everywhere (I just drove up the east border with Spain on a castle hunt stayed with my dog in small hotels €20-39 per night) and despite heating it was chilly. Others can confirm albergues being open but lots of cheap places as it’s off season. Bom Camino! I love Portugal, it’s my first time here and despite not speaking Portuguese (I’m fluent in Spanish) I’ve had no problem interacting with the very friendly and welcoming locals. BTW I would not walk the coastal route unless great weather. Lots to see on the central route. Good luck.
