Pousada, Casa Rural, or Pensione in Portomarin?

Time of past OR future Camino
2006 to date: Over 21 Caminos. See signature line
Has anyone here found a nice place to stay in Portomarin where I can rent private double rooms that are affordable? I checked into Pousada de Portomarin, but they seem pretty costly?
Help?

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
We stayed at El Caminante (982 545176)

Central and seemed to have plenty of doubles/twins but @ 40 Euro I think.
Nice & Clean quite modern.

Hi, Annie,

I don't know if I properly cut and pasted this link, but if you go to turgalicia.es, you can find a list, city by city,of all registered alojamiento. This is an official listing for all of Galicia. The search I did was for ""todos los alojamientos" in Portomarin, so it includes pensiones, hoteles, private albergues, etc. There were 20 results. You can also click on a map, which will show you exactly where in town each place is. Hope this helps. Laurie

p.s. I stayed in Portomarin in a new, inexpensive, relatively charm-less hotel that is very centrally located and whose name, I think, was Villajardin. It was at least 7 or 8 years ago, so it's probably no longer new, but it was fine if nothing special. The other obvious places are the hostales above the bars right in the square near the church, but I don't know what they are like.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
We have stayed at the Pousada and found it pretty nice. Don't recall the price. I do recall that they were open to some negotiation on the price..so you may try that.
