Question regarding Pilgrim's credential

Time of past OR future Camino
(2010) March/April SJPP to Santiago and hence to Finisterre
(2016) Hospitalero Grañón 15-31 March
(2016) April Logroño to Santiago
(2017) Hospitalero Zamora 15-31 March
(2017) Hospilatero Emaus, Burgos 1-14 April
If I get a pilgrim's credential and walk only a few stages of the Camino, can I use that same credential a following year to complete the Camino?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Just ensure it's an 'approved' credencial and you should be good to go. This shouldn't be a problem if you get one through your American Pilgrim Assoc. or through the many Albergues in Spain or the Pilgrims Office in SJPDP. Good luck!!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
I reused once and added the new departing place (because I was more or less "re starting" a previous walk), separated with a slash /
I noticed that in the Pilgrim's office the kind young lady that received me looked at the first sello and date (even if it was well behind the famous 100 k), then checked the first page of the credencial. I don't know why, because I was not asking for the certificate of distance. Or maybe I was imagining things.
Well, in short, yes. Reuse it.
Buen camino!

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
As long as you maintain the usual direction of travel, in a chronological order, even with long breaks, it counts.

In the above posts, that is why the Pilgrim Office person checked the credencial starting from the opening entry inside the front cover. Once you know where and when the journey started, you can better follow the directional and chronological progress.

I hope this helps.
