Return flight (probably Ryanair) : what about the wooden sti

Hello everybody, I need your help again...

I want to book my flight back - but to book with Ryanair (via Madrid to Brussels), I must know what to do with my walking stick (probably a wooden one) because the luggage makes part of the reservation sheet.

* Does the company consider it as one piece of luggage?
(I guess, even if it is not a metal stick but wood, it will not be allowed into the cabin?)

* So I have to buy a ticket plus two pieces of luggage : the stick plus my backback
(or alternatively, just one piece, the stick - having my backpack as handluggage with me?)

* What about returning it by post?

I also tried to investigate (by internet) about alternatives such as trains (or busses) to Brussels, but it is not easy to get the reliable information...

Thank you very much!

Fatma - recent experience with Ryanair flying back to the UK is that they just take the stick and put a sticker on it and it goes with the rucksack - no additional charge. But the way they are going now - who knows! Maybe others have different experiences?
