Cycled the Camino Frances summer 2012
Plan to walk Los Camino Del Norte, Vadiniense and finally the Camino Frances this September
Has anyone experience of returning bikes to the UK using similar specialist companies to those readily found in SdC. My wife and I intent to cycle from Geneva to Rome on the Via Francigena starting later this month. So far we are struggling to locate any companies which might take the grief out of arranging for our bikes to be sent home.

Any suggestions will be most gratefully recieved

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
We did not have any trouble bringing our bikes back from Rome though as we were with BA perhaps that helped as in those days they took bikes at no extra cost without any boxing or bagging. When we flew back from Geneva on the other hand they made us put the bikes in boxes which they provided and charged us for. I am afraid I cannot tell you what the current policy in Rome is as we flew back 7 years ago. If you are staying in a reasonably sized hotel I bet someone there will be able to find out for you, even if it is just a local bike shop who can box them for you. We had to hire a van type taxi to get the bikes in to the airport.

There is an American company that I have used to get my bike from the UK to the US. But I think they'll start anywhere and end anywhere. It's called Luggage Forward. All they do is move sports equipment.

There is also bikeflights.com also American but it's worth a go. Good luck. It's expensive no matter how you do it.

Can anyone recommend a place to stay in Jougne, the end of the last stage in France? Thanks. Karl
