Hi,

Does anybody here know if and where the pilgrim statistic from Roncesvalles is published? I tried both the Navarra government and the tourism web sites and couldn't find it. Thanks! SY

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I mean the little paper form where they ask you about motivation, religion ect. Every time I was in Roncesvalles they did this. Last year I finally remembered to ask what happens to them and the reply was we send them to the government of Navarra for their statistics. But the person I asked in Roncesvalles (the receptionist) didn't know if that statistic is ever published and where. SY

SYates,

This is just a thought...maybe the Dutch Association of Pilgrims (not exactly sure is that's the correct name for their association)
would be able to help...they staff the Alberque in Roncessvalles.

Thank you everybody. The staff at the albergue told me already that they simply send the forms to the government of Navarra. They neither keep them nor 'crunch the numbers' themselves. falcon269 has given me an idea. I will contact the author of that guide and ask him if he knows something. He lives locally, I assume, and might be able to help. Many thanks again, SY
