We are walking from Burgos in July and planning to arrive in Santiago about 20th.
I have heard that the cathedral in Santiago is shut for renovations at present.
Does anyone know when it will reopen for the pilgrim mass?

They continue to do the Pilgrim Mass at noon and occasionally swing the botafumeiro. There are a lot of repairs, and there is netting on the outside of the cathedral, but it is open!!

Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
The cathedral is open. Some scaffolding in front of some parts because of renovations, but you will be able to enter, visit and hug Santiago :)

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Hi, I am due to walk from Pedrouzo to Santiago de Compostela tomorrow and hope to make the Noon Pilgrim’s Mass. Can you tell me where Pilgrims can leave their backpacks and are small tote bags allowed on the Cathedral?
Thank you!

Oh, I didnt see you message in time!
Last time I was there pilgrims could not take backpacks - only VERY SMALL bags were allowed. Hopefully you didnt have any issues going in and had a nice experience with the mass :)
