Portugese Route from Lisbon
After we finish the Camino in May, we hope to spend a few days driving and exploring the northern coast of Spain. I am looking for suggestions on cities that we could fly to London Gatwick from without going back to Santiago. If you have a suggestions, could you also please post the airline that goes from that airport to London. I have tried Santander, Bilbao, Leon, Oviedo and Gijo but nothing works. Thanks.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
Dunno whats going off but there doesn't seem to be any flights posted into LGW from the north of Spain.

We have previously flown LGW to A Coruna; Santander; Oviedo (Asturias) & Bilbao. And Santiago. With Vuelling, Norwegian, Easyjet, BA/Iberia and, memorably Aeroflot (that was a long, long time ago). Vuelling would be my current bet but they've nothing posted for May, yet. Sometimes its quicker to walk.....

If you are thinking of using one-way car hire then I would check the small print very carefully. There may be a 'return' fee equal to the original hire fee.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
You might be better taking the train to Madrid which gives you more and cheaper options. From experience, going from Santiago to the north coast eg. Santander, Bilbao is not easy or convenient or fast.

Vigo is a possibility and a short trip down the Galician coast but fewer choices compared to Madrid.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

I know this is not the answer to the question you asked but.....friends of mine took the ferry from Santander to either Plymouth or Portsmouth. Not sure which port the ferry docks at but it is one of those. They then got a train to London. I am tempted to try it myself. A nice relaxing ocean cruise to finish the camino.

Brittany Ferries sail from from Santander & Bilbao to both Plymouth and Portsmouth. I am a regular traveller and a big fan of this service. As tpmchugh said it's a great way to adjust after walking any stretch of stretch Camino.
