Time of past OR future Camino
Oct20
Hi I hope to start my camino Sarria to Santiago 30th Sept. This is the 3rd attempt to do the walk. Covid stopped my first planned date. Then unfortunately my brother was ill and I went to look after him in the USA. Sadly he passed away after a long fight against cancer. So I am really looking forward to third time lucky! I know my brother will be in my thoughts and prayers along rhe way. I miss him very much. Hope the camino will be a good place to reflect and remember the best brother he was to me always.

If this fits with your religious practice, I have read in this forum that, if you apply for a Compostela, you may ask for it to be issued In Vicare Res ..and give them your brother's name.

I hope to do this next year for my mother.

Buen Camino.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
I did the same camino (Sarria to Santiago) in the Spring of 2019, just 10 months after my younger sister passed from cancer. Along the route, there are a number of small churches which seem to always be open. I stopped at many of these and lit a candle for my sister. Although I am not a religious person, I found this somewhat cathartic.
They also have a stamp for your passport ... Buen Camino.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Greetings from Colorado and I will be starting in Sarria on the 30th also….Flying into Santiago and going back to Sarria to start.
I too lost a dear brother I care for and I talk to him daily. I am sure both of them will join us on Camino. Hope to see you there… Maureen … this is my 2nd one did in 2017… it’s wonderful.

Ah, here's the term...In Vicarie Pro. As I said, I read about it on this forum
Yes, that is something you can do. I just had the names of both my parents added In Vicarie Pro on my Compostela. You just ask and they add the name of the person.
