I'm walking my first Camino from sjpdp September 10. I'm really excited about this opportunity and looking forward to the challenge, the people, the scenery and the experience. I've been reading through a lot of these posts (many hours spent doing that) and appreciate all the advice that's offered.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

You will do just fine, but you have to listen to your body.
Wish you a wonderful journey and a Buen Camino, Peter.

You lucky pilgrim! You'll be in San Juan de Ortega for the solstice - this year will be the fourth time I've missed it :(

Ah sorry - at both the spring and autumn solstice a beam of sunlight enters a small window and illuminates a carved frieze depicting the Annunciation. As the sun moves the beam shifts along the figures.

You'll need to be there just after 5pm - it lasts about 10 minutes I'm told.

It's the day before my birthday and I never manage to time it to be there on the right day - it happens just twice a year. This year I'll be back in England by then :(

Oh, bummer! I'll be there four days too early! :-/
I'll keep it in mind if I'm running late... Thanks Jeff

For those of you who are using the ATM colour chart. One bank is suggested at less than 2 Euro when in fact was 4.50 Euro per withdrawal
