Camino Frances May 2022
Hi, I will be flying from US to Bilbao, spending the night May 8, then starting to walk Camino Frances May 10th from SJPP. Still trying to figure out the transport from Bilbao to SJPP. The current best choice seems to be getting a BlaBla car from Bilbao to Pamplona the morning of May 9 and then a taxi to SJPP that afternoon. Anyone interested in sharing the taxi to St Jean? So far just my boyfriend and myself, both in our early 60's. Thanks!! Our First Camino!

Have you looked on Rome2Rio.com?

www.rome2rio.com is your friend, though if it was a good friend it would probably suggest bus to Pamplona and start walking from there.
yes, thanks, have checked out Rome2Rio, has been a great friend for other trips, but not so much in this case. Prices and schedules just a bit bonkers, so the BlaBla to Pamplona seems the easiest and most affordable. Starting from Pamplona was my original idea but the Pyrenees appealed to my partner.

I'm flying into Bilbao a few nights before you. Staying in San Sebastian for 3 nights. I have train tickets from Hendaye (just across border in France) to SJPP. There are two changes (last one a bus)...it's about 3 hours and was fairly inexpensive. Hope this is helpful.

Thanks, will check that out!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
