Hola,

Looking for others to share an already booked Teletaxi San Fermin from the Pamplona train station to St. Jean Pied de Port on October 2nd. Our train from Barcelona arrives at 13:21.

Buen Camino,

Dale

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hola!

Looking to share a ride on that date too but I arrive from Madrid at 6:30pm.. I wonder if that is possible?

Buen Camino,
Yasmin

Hola, Yasmin!

Well, St. Jean Pied de Port is an hour and a half drive from Pamplona. We want to get to it no later than late afternoon so we can see the town, buy our Camino scallop shell, get our pilgrim’s credentiale and have a nice meal all before we go to sleep that night. Our plan is for us to start our walk early the very next morning. So sorry, I don’t think it is going to work for us to share a ride from Pamplona unfortunately. But maybe we will encounter each other on the Camino! We are Dale and Jim from Hawaii!

Buen Camino,

Dale

Dale, how did you get the blue "Ride Share" box to show with your post? Did you click on a Ride Share link somewhere?
I am looking to do the same. Thank you.

Well Pat,

I posted it and then Ivar moved it to the ride share section! Are you coming to Pamplona on the same day?

When you are creating a new thread, you will see an option to select a "prefix" - it is to the left of the thread title, and the default is "No prefix". Click on the down arrow/triage and pick Ride Share for your thread. However, in many cases, as @dalerhuber says, the OP does not add the prefix, but Ivar or a moderator will notice and add it.

Are you arriving into the Pamplona train station or the airport? We (my friend Jim and I - we are from Hawaii and are in our 60’s) don’t mind waiting for you two until 14:52 at the train station to go to SJPDP. The entire taxi ride will be 134 euros for all four of us and the ride will be 1.5 hours long. Please confirm you want to ride with us and I will contact Teletaxi San Fermin to arrange it!

Mahalo (thanks in Hawaiian),

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Meaning.... do we hold up a sign at the train station ? ;-)

Hola and Aloha, Susan!

I have already made the arrangements for the Teletaxi San Fermin, so I will contact them that there are now 4 of us and give them your arrival time into the Pamplona train station. We pay them with cash each once we are there, I think! So far, they have not asked for a deposit! We will figure it all out but I think you should have cash on hand once you arrive or get into Spain.
Jim and I are only going as far as Orisson the first day after we get to SJPDP as we want to break up the trip over the Pyrenees to Roncesvalles into 2 stages. And once you arrive into the Pamplona train station, just look for me and my distinctive hat!

Buen Camino,

Dale

We will spend that Sunday night in SJPP then off to Borda on Monday...easing into it as well. Thanks, so glad this has worked out. See you Sunday.

I have contacted Teletaxi San Fermin and asked for a slight modification to my reservation. Since the taxi company does itself put pilgrims together for a shared ride, I don’t think this will be a problem. And as I and Jim’s mutual friend Cheri who has walked the Camino says, “The Camino provides!” So yay, glad this worked out, too! This will be me and Jim’s my first Camino! See you Sunday!
