Trying to plan a 2 - 3 day walk. Any ideas where we should start or what part of the trail we should walk?

Hmm. 2 or 3 days is super hard to narrow down! I'd say it really depends on what kind of scenery you want and where you want to end up. I'd say the area just before and after the Cruz de Ferro (Rabanal, Foncebadon, Molinaseca, etc) is really nice. I walked in October and around Foncebadon everything turned really green and forested and it was more mountainous which I loved. But if you want more vineyards and rolling hills then it should be somewhere well before Burgos... and of course, if you want to end up in Santiago then that is a whole other plan! If there are any cities you really want to visit (Pamplona, Leon, etc) then you need to factor that in. HM!

Given so little information about who you are, why you want to experience the Camino, your limitations of time... it is hard to advise you. Either that, or it is easy to advise you to walk sections that are inappropriate for your needs.

I'll encourage you to research more about the Camino, and strongly advise you to consider 7 to 14 days. Doing less does not give you the time to enter into the practice of pilgrimage. Going more than two or three weeks increases the opportunity for it to be an enlightening experience. The routine of walking 20 to 30 kms per day, regardless of weather, day after day, in a sea of people each on a personal journey is mesmerizing. You just don't get it in 2 or 3 days.

Look at your motivations and look at your plans. See if you can't fit in more time for your pilgrimage to Santiago. You will be glad you did.

Hi!

The Camino Ingles from A Coruna usually takes about 3 days. As Skilsaw says it depends on your priorities. The Ingles is quiet compared to the Frances so you will not meet so many people, however it is a full route.

Buen Camino!
