Size of the Credencial?

Hi everyone,

I've been reading this forum on and off for quite some time, and thanks to the wonderful contributors, it is full of useful information on almost very topic. I'm planning to walk the Camino Frances with my wife in September/November 2018 and so I have started some serious planning. My gear list is done and my backpack sits at a theoretical 7.1 kg including luxuries of extra socks!

One thing I am curious about is the size of the Credencial when folded. I've looked at a lot of photos but can't work out the size.
I'd like to work out where and how to safely stow it as I'm walking.

Thanks in advance,

Neil.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
Depends on which one you have Neil......
I have 2 types. But there are others.

155 mm x 100 mm (From Ivar)

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
Just a word of caution Neil. Make sure it is not somewhere where it can get wet or sweat stained.
I kept mine in a ziplock bag. Inside a security wallet around my neck........along with money and passport.
The credencial was fine, the passport got soaked in sweat!
In a hipbelt it might also get a bit crushed.... That might not matter to you though.

Good advice Robo, I'll make sure it is in a plastic protector of some sort, and yes, I don't want it crushed. I hope to have a beautiful collections of sellos when I finish.
Thanks again.

Hi... You can always order your credential and it will be sent to your home from this site, no having to worry about getting it anywhere along the way.

Chris

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
Thanks Chris,
Yes, I saw that Ivar had them for sale. I like the idea of picking mine up in St Jean, sort of bookmarks the 'start' of the journey.
Cheers, Neil.

Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles

And have it somewhere with in easy reach when arriving at accommodation

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

They are not that big that you need to worry about space, we carried ours in plastic zip-lock baggies and put it in the top zippered compartment of our backpacks.Advice .... bring extra zip-lock plastic baggies, they save weight and come in very handy for many purposes and you can see whats inside unlike compression sacks
