You will have a fantastic time. We are walking from Roncenvalles starting on the 2nd Sep, so if we walk slow and you walk fast you'll probably see us.
I walked from SJPDP last year and stayed in Orisson on the first night and can't recommend it highly enough. Those that opt to walk straight through from SJPDP to Roncenvalles are in for quite a tough Day 1! Each to their own though.

Buen Camino :)

Do you know that there is a Saint James route crossing Lourdes? It is called the Piedmont way. If you are in the mood for a very pleasant, easy walk through the woods and along a river, walk by the grotto up to the paved road, turn left, and after 500 meters or so you will see at your right a camping and a smaller road, that after a while turn into a path. You can walk up to the intersection with a road (40 minutes, more or less), or follow the signposts to Rieulhès. You can't be lost, you will always have the river at your right.
Buen camino!

Arriving in Biarritz the evening of Sept 10. Plan to spend a day or two in Lourdes, arrive in SJPP on Sept 13 and walk to Orisson on the 14th. Hope to see you all on the way!
Smart to take a few days before you start. Maybe see you on the trail! Buen Camino!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
