I'm starting my Camino in Logrono and would like to buy some telescopic walking poles there. Does anyone know if there is a Decathlon or similar type sports store in Logrono, and where?

Cheers.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Here's another idea:

You're long gone, but just in case anyone else is interested: Check out the Planeta Agua store in Logrono. Along with their fishing focus, they claim to be Camino specialists (so said their flyer and map w/location, which was in a small box on the Camino going into town). Based on my experience, they were good to go.

I bought a pair of light Spanish boots, a pair of coolmax liner socks, and a Nalgene water bottle there. They were nice folks - the woman behind the counter showed me the two "hot spot" streets in Logrono with the best restaurants. And she even gave me a tiny souvenier gourd (which I later lost - bummer).

I'm not sure of their exact location - all I remember is that they were up the street from the police station. I'm sure you or any other curious folks can Google them to find out where they are :) Here's some address/contact info, though (from Google):

Avenida De Navarra 8-10
26001 Logroño, Spain

the answer is, yes, there is a large Decathlon in Logrono. It's on a shopping mall with Superstore, Macdonalds, etc on the south-west of town. There is a bus goes there every ten minutes or so from the centre (but I can't remember the number). Good shop, when I was there all staff were solely Spanish speakers.
C/ Prado Viejo S/N 26006 Logroño Tel: 941 519 456

In case anyone else is looking for a sports store in Logrono, there are two very near the Plaza del Mercado. I found new shoes at a shop at the corner of Calle Capitan Gallarza and Calle Laurel and got good advice from the owner there. There is another smaller one around the corner from there too.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
