You can check gronze.com for information on open albergues. In winter, you should call ahead to be sure they are open. Often the hosts take unannounced days off unless they know someone is coming. Buen camino.

Also, ask hospitaleros at refugios every night which albergues are open within next few days. Some will say year-round but are closed.
