Pain is part of walking a half-marathon a day for a month, so just determine if the pain is a symptom of something “breaking.” If more damage is not occurring, he will have the choice of taking the pain, or not walking. For example, arthritis will not just go away, but if you can stand the pain, walking does not make it worse.
