Great piece and good for reflection as Contraprincess starts the Camino. All the best and enjoy each day, it only comes once and you can't relive yesterday, you can't live tomorrowbut you can live the real world of right now .

Dear Donna.
I read your blog and understand the hope of healing while on the camino. I will walk my first camino next year. I feel a longing to go, and pray that somehow I will be stronger, braver perhaps. I pray for a wonderful, healing walk for you, that you will leave the camino full of hope and strength. I would like to share my favorite scriptures in the hope they will help you too.

"I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me" Philippians 4:13

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". Jeremiah 29:11

Sitting here in Arkansas reading your diary I am feeling anxious for you . Heal , don't push so hard you threaten your mental and physical self . Slow go and go wisely . Or Stop. Whatever you need to do .

Please go to a quiet place, sit down and think for two hours about what YOU want from this Camino and also what you can give back to it. You WILL find the answers and when you do, get up and enjoy the walk. Listen to your body. Empty your mind. Search for a rhythm to suit you and find 'the zone'. Buen Camino.
