Starting the Camino

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Welcome, Jeff.
Take the time to browse through the forums. Be sure to note the dates on the threads and posts to insure that time sensitive info is not outdated.
There are a number of American Pilgrim groups in California and you may want to look into that if you are not already connected.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

This is Jeff from Santa Cruz, Calif., I have been dreaming about this journey for three years and finally I am free to begin my journey from St Jean to Santiago de Compostela on Sept. 17, 2018.

I'll be a day behind you, Jeff :) My backpack has this patch on it from the Forum store, so feel free to say 'hi' if you see it.

And Buen Camino, Pilgrim:cool:

Hi Jeff

We start from SJPP on the 26th of Sept. Three of us old guys from Burlingame did the CF two years ago at the same time. We are back this year to introduce one member to the walk from SJPP to Pamplona, then a plane to Porto for the Portuguese Camino.

We did just fine on our own two years ago, but this forum is just full of info; so be sure to take advantage of it.

Buen Camino
