I have heard some strange news from Spain today which is not showing on any of the world news services. Basically it says that the Spanish military announced over the weekend that it will not support the Government with the austerity measures and that it is "with the people" Also that the King has told the government to prepare for a military coup. Is this bs or is this news being suppressed.

A selection of Camino Jewellery
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

This may have something to do with the 'Civil Servants' demonstration in Madrid last night. The demonstration was peaceful and friendly and the 'Riot Police', who presumably are Civil Servants, took off their riot helmets and put on their normal hats. There was no rioting and the demonstration was not causing problems, so there was no need for riot gear, but presumably it is possible to read into this what may, or may not, have been intended.

it was just a military stating that they will not happily take all the reductions in wages which are expected, nothing said about a coup - this said, the military do not have too many ways to demonstrate or rebel...
