Last week I made a booking with Teletaxi San Fermin to travel fr Pamplona to SJPDP on 12 April but my booking is listed as 'Pending". I emailed to ask for an update a few days ago but have had no reply. Is this normal? I would be grateful for any advice on what to do.

Good morning Barkley,
This is who we used for our taxi last May from Pamplona to St Jean.

We communicated by email, using Google translate to help.
We paid by bank transfer from our Australian bank account, no worries.

He was very good and we were able to coordinate with them to pick a lady up first from the airport and then they picked us up from outside the train station, so we were able to taxi share, which helped with the cost. We met the lady from America who was picked up from the airport, through the forum. We paid in advance. It all worked well.

Sorry we can’t help re your situation. Please don’t hesitate to private message us if you want anymore information.

The good news is that you don't need a reservation for a taxi in Pamplona - there will be taxis waiting. The benefit of the particular taxi company that you are trying to book with is that they will attempt to pool you with other pilgrims in order to share the cost. If that's not a concern for you there's no need to reserve.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Thanks, that is reassuring

The ALSA bus service from Pamplona to SJPP is excellent - provided that it fits in with your schedule. It departs at 12.00 pm midday and goes via Roncesvalles.
