The best albergues from Astorga to Santiago

In your opinion what is the the best albergues between Astorga-Santiago.

I don't know yet 'cause have not been yet; however reading other peoples, La Faba is a good one! It's just that it's a big day to get there from our previous stopover.
We are leaving from Astorga too, @ 4am, that's when the bus gets in!

Rabanal - Gaucelmo, Municipal, and Nuestra Señora del Pilar are all acceptable.

Acebo, if you are tired - Mesón El Acebo is good and has good food.

Molinaseca - Santa Marina

Pieros - El Serbal y la Luna

Ruitelan - Refugio Pequeño Potala

Fonfria - A Reboleira

Sarria - almost all of them except the municipal

Triacastela - most of them

Portomarin - Ferremientero

San Xulian - O Abrigadoiro

Arzua - most of them, but centrally located is a good new one - Los Caminantes II

Pedrouzo - Porta de Santiago

Santiago - O Fogar de Teodomiro

I have twice stayed at Monte Irago in Foncebadden and love the ambience and the communal meal.
To me there is something magical about that village.
Also felt at home in Via Lactea,Arzua.

That´s correct. But that exact difference the meaning "best" it´s a plus. Because some days i like red others like green.

Casa Banderas is a new albergue just 3 kms before Portamarin so it is not yet widely known, but it comes highly recommended and you will be guaranteed a warm welcome. There are 10 beds and it has the best shower on the Camino.

I liked the one in San Xulian, nicer than some hotels and a cosy bar with a lovely fire.

Ruitelan - Refugio Pequeño Potala - totally agree with this one!

I would also add in the private albergue at San Mamed (outside of Sarria).

Those two are by far my favourite on that leg of the camino

NS de Pilar in Rabanal is great.
Santa Marina in Molinaseca Is a must if you don't want to stay in Pontferrada.
Ave Fenix has a great atmosphere but is not the most comfortable.

I hate ratings.

"The Best" is such a wildly various thing!
Don´t plan your journey based on other peoples´ ratings. Go out and walk your own road, let yourself experience the place for your own self.

One person´s worst is another one´s best.
