As many of you know I had to abandon my Camino in April and return home. Since then I have been bowled over by the kindness of so many people on this forum. As well as all the good wishes and prayers I received, Allan (Al the optimist) brought an extra Credencial for me on his last Camino and had it stamped all along the way, I even had a virtual stop at the Peaceable Kingdom where I'm sure Reb gave me a great welcome. Scotsreb brought a stone from his garden and placed it a the Cruz de Ferro for me and Pilgrim b placed a stone both for me and Tincatinker on his recent Camino. Kind acts such as these make me feel so lucky and happy to be part of such a great community on this forum.
Thank you all.

Pat,

I agree with you. There are truly kind and generous people on this forum. I would like to add that you are one of them. I have observed many kind and thoughtful responses from you to other's posts. Also some humorous ones, too! I'm still smiling thinking of you and your little son at the bank!

I'm glad you showed the wisdom to seek help when you needed it.

Best regards,
Mary

Pat......how goes the recuperation?
I am back to running in almost four cylinders again as we say here, walking 4mls/6k most days and loving it. Getting itchy feet but my much better half is keeping me under control for another while.

barber, pilgrim b, Doug, Kanga and Lise, thank you for your kind words, the goodness of this forum, ie the people on it, is my sunshine every day, no sunscreen required. :)

Glad to hear that Pat, any chance we might see you along the Way this autumn?

Hello all. Here to give a brief account of my (and many others) first day on the Camino on May 1. The trip to Roncesvalles was tough. I went Valcarlos route because napoleon was very ill advised...
Did you meet Bjørn Krohn? Died aged 48 in an albergue, I don't know where, tuesday 21th. I didn't know this until now.
Seems to be a lot of people posting about stuff they lost on the Camino recently. I managed to leave a nice new-ish polo shirt somewhere drying and didn't notice for over a week. I hope someone...
I am wondering how you disconnect, in part, from the world. I have a couple of reasons that I need to be accessible but, I don't want to be constantly connected on this journey. Ideas?
Can anyone tell me if food is available there… anyone stayed recently? Cheers
