I've never stayed on O Cebreiro - both times I've tackled the climb up there in the morning and moved on to Alto do Poio in the afternoon. The sunrise there isn't nearly as good, though. ;)

From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
What an exquisite feeling you must have had seeing that landscape splayed out in front of you, up above the clouds.. wow. Thank you for sharing!!

The second time I stayed at Poio the morning mist was so thick I could barely see my hand in front of my face never mind the sunrise. It just shows how every Camino is different and beautiful things you may not even be aware of on one trip can reveal themselves on another.

On my way there, heading out to Hospital de Orbigo. The Camino has been very quiet so far. I walked the Calzada Romana bteween Sahagun to Calzadilla de los Hermanillos and vere saw one more soul. BTW, DEFINITELY the way to go rather the other option along the trail.
