Whatever you do...never move to Cabot Cove. There are so many murders I'm surprised there are enough people alive to live there. 🤪😅

You know have often thought same.

In NYC so many folk are kilt there shouldn’t be any left.

The Special Victims Unit alone could have emptied out city.

Maybe that’s why there are so many transplants. Gotta keep up the numbers so television murder and hospital shows can thrive.

Yep! If I was a judge I would have the Fletcher, Wallander and Morse characters in the hoosegow so fast it would make their heads swim. Wherever they turn up, people get killed by the bulk – highly suspicious

And as for Columbo.
Everyone knows who did it in the first 10 minutes and it takes him an hour and a half to figure it out....

Believability is always best.
I still can't get over the American programmes where they drive up to the building they want and there is always a parking space outside. Not only is no parking skill involved but they glide into a space large enough for three 🤪
I can believe it. When Peg's sister lived nearby I saw her park like that, even in places notoriously difficult to find any place to park, let alone in front of the place she was going to. She was so good at it that once when she, Peg and I went to a ice show I made fun of her when she didn't get a spot at the entrance. It turned out she parked at the exit we took.

Also, the character Spenser in the show Spenser for Hire could park easily in Boston. Peg had some trouble parking in Cambridge for awhile until the guy across the street said he could use his driveway. Robert Parker, the author of the Spenser novels.

All I can say is that you guys are far more observant than me.
I avoid Parallel Parking like the Plague...that is why they all start with "P".
I'm not too observant crossing a busy street on foot either. Many a times I would have been hit by a vehicle in tourist cities as I looked around at all the lovely sights instead of oncoming traffic...thank goodness for those who watched out for me.

An incident involving Peg in Australia after a few days of cars honking at her: On foot, stops at a crossroad intersection, looks to the left only, looks straight ahead, takes one step unto the road, stops, looks to the left, [keeps repeating].

People are giving her strange looks. I'm trying not to laugh (there was no traffic coming in any direction). Things are a bit different in the lands down under.

Um!

Then, how come we’re not on the left side?
Rather complex (see link below) but in America we had the opportunity to build new roads wider and thus could have bigger wagons and horses side by side. For right-handed folks sitting on the left they could use the whip easier to control horses on both sides. Thus two wagons approaching each other for people sitting on the left it was safer to judge clearance if they stayed to the right of the road. I'm serious.

In Europe the standard was to ride horses on the left of the road so they could kill peasants on their right with their swords held in their right hands (not completely serious, but I sort of am). Again, see link. It explains how that slowly changed except for (mainly) the UK and colonies.

A little childhood dirty.

🎼 Beans, beans are good for your heart. The more you eat um the more you fart. The more you fart the better you feel. So, eat those beans at every meal. 🎼
My mother-in-law used to bounce my boys on her leg while saying a similar rhyme. I wanted to post it earlier, but didn't want to look crass.🤭😅 Now that you have opened the door😀 I'll add her rhyme...
"Beans, beans, the musical fruit.
The more you eat, the more you toot.
The more you toot, the bettr you'll feel.
Now you're ready for another meal." 🥔🥔🥔

See what I was talkin' 'bout. Beans galore...for breakfast. Americans don't do that...just sayin'.

That's not an English Breakfast...where is the other egg, mushrooms (two do not count) and toast....a bit stingy on the bacon as well.
Don't they call Chicago the windy city?

Elmer has no big ears for flight, and his only jumbo thing is his girth...he's flying nowhere.🙄
I own the adventure park...I should know.

Oh CC!

I made my reservations.

Also, I will be flying in on Elmer’s dumbo.

It will be a sticky situation if I cancel my dumbo flight.
