Have seen this. It's worth watching as he has a real affinity for Spain as well as speaking Spanish. He also has a place near Seville and spends a lot of time there when not filming other travel programmes.

Ooh, thank you @SabsP I wonder if there will be glimpses of the beautiful Camino Baztan and Aragones Way. I'll have to watch to find out. Merci. Gracias.

Let us keep the focus please on his tv work and not on his political career.
Would be nice if this thread stays open.
I should have been clearer on the intent of my jape-- it was to compliment his creative work, and only note in passing to any public office. His personal trajectory as the son of a noted Spanish Loyalist official is also worthy of consideration and this was a significant element in his Spanish train documentary.

Mr Portillo also walked the Camino in 1999 I think, not sure if he made a documentary of it as it was at a difficult point in his life.
There was an article in The Observer at the time about his walk from Samos to Santiago. Still available on the Guardian website.

Money stolen from bag on bed while sleeping. Estelle municipal hostel. Not a big inconvenience as my passport and credit cards were left.
