Has anyone used a Tortuga Backpack? (www.tortugabackpacks.com) They say they're not for hiking, but they look interesting for our future travels so maybe we could do double duty by bringing in on our Camino?

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
It looks like an excellent bag for a short break in a city, rather than for backpacking. The pockets aren't really designed for hikers (where would you put your water bottle?) and the shape doesn't look very ergonomic. Also, the handles and the laptop pocket probably add to its weight.

Don't even think about it. Those are travel packs, a nice efficient design for carrying from plane to bus and train to hotel. Great, if that's what you need, but they're not hiking packs. They're not designed to be carried for 20-plus km over rough terrain, day after day for weeks. Sorry to be so forcefully negative, but I'd be really concerned if I saw anyone trying to walk the Camino with one of these. A good lightweight hiking pack with pockets for your water as mentioned above is what you need. Doesn't have to be fancy or expensive, or even new, just constructed well so it's comfortable over long distances.

Buen Camino!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
you would be better off with a small rolling bag

That would be a poor choice to carry on the Camino. You can find an actual backpack at Academy for less. :)
Have some brisket and sausage at Kreuz's for me, please. Been many years since I've been there. ;)

Will do! Although I like Smittys better!

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
Ha ha...I knew there would be a preference on barbecue. Isn't there another place there that has good barbecue? Black's Bbq I think?
Blacks is good, but expensive since they've gone national on the Food Channel. We like Chisholm Trail too.

Ah, okay. I don't like it when they get too big for their britches, ha ha.
Hey, just to let you know I've done the CF three times, all during the summer, and it never got Texas hot. Some warm and sunny days for sure, but nothing like Texas. Still, hydrate well and bring sunscreen and a good hat.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
