Time of past OR future Camino
August 2023
Hi, we are walking the Norte from mid July to the end of August. During this time, our children will be joining us, two at the middle of the trail and two to Compostela, each time for a week. I tried to look for flights/trains/bus from Madrid to those destinations, and there are fewer options than I thought. I would like to ask, from your experience, is it expected that more trains/buses/flights will be added later in the summer?
And are the prices expected to rise?

Bus and train tickets are not always released until a month or so out. You may need to keep checking back. I use the Trainline App as it will show me the trains and also train/bus connections. The Renfe App is sometimes difficult and the Alsa App shows only the national company and not the smaller regional companies.

Cheap fare goes out first and fast, for direct train between Madrid and Santiago, I would book ASAP. I used Trainline App first time and worked.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
