I was wondering if anyone knows a way of traveling from Santiago to Biarrtiz (train or bus). I have a flight from Biarrtiz to Dublin at the end of my Camino in early October.

Thank you, Karen

Hi! I have done the same thing twice, ( fly out from Bayonne Biarritz after completing the Camino. I took the train from Santiago to Bayonne, it is a full day trip and gets you to Bayonne about 9PM at night after a morning start ( around 9 as I recall ) from Santiago. Fare was reasonable, I paid the extra 20 E and took the Premium Class...quieter and better seats). You change trains at Hendaye, it was about a half hour wait.

If you plan to take this train you should book it in advance no later than the day before you wish to travel. It will be a slow journey filled with memory as you re-cross much of the land you have recently walked.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Renfe train to Gare d'Hendaye.

Then either Transports64 816 bus from Gare d'Hendaye to Biarritz Airport; or, SNCF train from Gare d'Hendaye to Gare Biarritz and Chronoplus bus from Gare de Biarritz to Biarritz or Biarritz (Anglet) Airport.

If your Renfe train terminates at Irun Renfe Station then cross the street to the Euskotren Colon station and take the Euskotren to Hendaia.

ALSA operates buses that connect to other buses and eventually gets you to Biarritz. Its cheaper but slower and less comfortable.

Chronoplus

Euskotren

It might be cheaper to fly direct from Santiago to Dublin.
