Hello, i am doing the camino françès, from June 1 to june 24 about 23 or 24 days, so i don't know exactly when i will arrive in Santiago, should i reserve my train to Madrid or i can reserve when i arrive in Santiago. I want to know if it is difficult to find train to Madrid in Santiago.

It is rare that the train is full. If you do not have a certain departure date, wait until you are in Santiago.

i would wait till you are closer to Santiago, you can book online anywhere. have you considered flying? perhaps cheaper and much faster

Hi Do, make your reservation when you are closer to Santiago. Or as stated above mabe flying to Madrid. ! No mather what you decite, I wish you well and a Buen Camino, Peter.
 
I disagree about waiting until you arrive in Santiago.
I would do it at least a week out, maybe in Leon or Astorga.
Last year, in June, we got the last two seats on the train for the afternoon we needed to travel.
That was the afternoon train, which I prefer... not the trainhotel.
