Travel between Logrono & SJPDP

Time of past OR future Camino

Hi. My fiancé and I walked from Sarria to Santiago this year and have developed a love of all things Camino! Next year, for our honeymoon, we want to walk from St Jean Pied de Port to Logrono. Unfortunately we cannot take sufficient time away from work to do the whole Camino. We will be leaving our car in Logrono, travelling to St Jean Pied de Port and then walking back to Logrono. My query relates to transport between the two places. It appears that we have to get a bus/train to Pamplona and then a bus to SJPDP. There does only seem to be one bus a day on the second leg of the journey. Has anyone done this before or has any other suggestions as to how we can achieve this? Is it a good idea to book tickets for the buses in advance? Does this guarantee you a seat? Many thanks for any help or advice

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Pre-covid there were up to four buses a day going from Pamplona to SJPdP depending on the month. Perhaps there may be better service next year but the website usually doesn't show any service until a month or two before before it starts.

You could share a taxi to SJPdP. See this webpage set up for that:
