I've just received my new European Health Insurance Card, which replaces the old E111 form for Brits needing healthcare treament while travelling in EU countries.
The covering letter warns you the card may not cover all health costs and will never cover repatriation costs, and advises taking out travel insurance.
Sounds wise. What have people done on the Camino? Any suggestions/recommendations?

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
I travel a lot, Spain in particular. I use regular travel insurance which can be obtained through banks and travel agents. Many people don't bother but I think it give total protection.

Hi,
I have just returned from the VdlP and had health insurance with http://www.globelink.uk.com at a cost of £38.56 for 2 months.
I took ill during one night and after one call to the company they arranged for an english speaker to come to me and arrange an ambulance. I was taken to hospital and treated, kept in overnight, given breakfast and a shower and driven back to my hostal by taxi.
Wonderful help and support in the circumstances.
Many thanks to the Company staff and Health professionals.
