We cannot wait to do the Camino again!! Recently returned from the doing the France route, cannot explain the amazing experience!! We want to do the Porto route next year. Our question is, does anyone have info on the best way to get to Porto from No. California, USA. We are researching, but if anyone has some advice or suggestions, we would love to read about them:)
Also, considering going the last week in March. Weather in March? Much rain?

End up on TAP airlines. They fly from Boston to Lisbon/Porto among other airports, so see what connects with them. Best fares will be about 90 days out.

I flew from Sacramento to Lisbon via Los Angeles and Paris on Delta/Air France. Stayed a night in Lisbon and took the train north the next day. Air France was lovely!

Norwegian flies Oakland - Lisbon, one stop. They're probably the cheapest. Then an easy train to Porto. Or you could take Norwegian to one of the cities they fly from Oakland non-stop (Paris, Barcelona, London), then check one of the cheap European airlines like easyJet or Ryanair. United also partners with TAP, so try it, too (that's what we did, but we flew into Lisbon).

I agree with Norwegian airlines. We are flying from Oakland nonstop into Barcelona and then taking a Ryanair flight to Porto. Very reasonable. Sign up for Norwegian awards program and they will keep you informed of special deals. Our nonstop flight to Barcelona was $160.00 when we booked it at the beginning of the year.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

I am going to Lisbon from SEA-TAC on Air France/Delta. Layover in JFK. They must have flights on to Madrid. You might see if Norwegian has flights from SF
