Stopped in Viana today instead of pushing on the next 9 kms to Logroño.... Sat at this gem for a while this evening and it was really lovely. We noticed most pilgrims walking by would read the "Chill Cafe" sign above the door and not even notice the main "Pilgrim Oasis" signage on the wall and barely gave a second glance, which was really too bad. We loved our time here, the couple running it right now are so friendly and welcoming. Highly encourage everyone to stop here when passing through Viana!

(Unfortunately my photo won't attach, hopefully I can try again later!)

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
I love Viana they were having a right old knees up when I was passing through the last time and were cooking up some fantastic paella in an enormous pan over an open fire…..only for the fact that we needed to get to the decathlon store to get new boots we would have stayed on. I'm planning on stopping over there the next time for sure.

I'll keep an eye out for it also.
During my last Camino a few weeks back, I stayed in Torres del Rio which is only 10 kms before Viana, so we walked through while it was dark.
It seemed like a nice place.
The town must have been just over a fiesta as a large bull ring was still erected in the main plaza :)

Reminds me of El Hospital del Alma in Castrojeriz. That place is phenomenal, moved me to tears. Thanks for letting us know about the Oasis.
