The problem is finding a "China Bazaar" in the early stages of the Camino. If you start in SJPP you will easily find a power adapter in Pamplona but I didn't see any stores during the first couple of days selling those things. There were probably stores in SJPP selling them, its a nice size town, but we arrived fairly late and left early so very few were open!Hardware stores and "China" stores have plug adapters in Spain. You won't need a converter, just the plug adapter.

One spot to try for an adapter in SJPdP is the Maison Garicoix, located just off the camino on the rue d'Uhart. See more here in their web.

The best thing to do is do the research for the type and by one at home.Coming from Australia, will I need wall plug adaptors?
I used to have a multi-country adaptor. Now for my smartphone/tablet/camera with a USB input, I simply use a cheap USB power adaptor I've bought in Spain, available everywhere. Much lighter than a multi-country adaptor or piggybacking an Australian adaptor onto a European plus, and it costs very few Euros. Mine has the benefit of two USB outlets, which means I can share a power point with others.
You can buy them on eBay before you leave if you want - here is one
