St Jean to Puente La Reina (2018)
Hi, we (family of 4) fly tomorrow to Biarritz and start walking our first Camino on Monday morning. We have acommodation booked through to Puenta La Reina on Friday. The latest weather forecast is cold, thunder and rain all week, do I need to rethink my packing?

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Only if you did not allow for bad weather in your original packing list. If so the forecast is a handy reminder that it can get pretty damp and miserable any time of year. Better to go prepared for it anyway!

15 degrees from the weather guessers is not cold rather perfect walking temperature, you don't even sweat. Rain-thunder-lightening predicted but there are no monsoons in Spain it will rain awhile it may thunderboom off and on , it will probably mostly be cloudy meaning the horizon will be shortened the view less than spectacular. Rolling clouds may be a wonderful addition though. Do review safety precautions during lightening storms. Cellphones do not attract lightening but trees, isolated bus stops, a person standing on an isolated unwooded road or field certainly do. Buen Camino-most albergues now have clothes driers should you actually get soaked.
