Where to start if I have only 5 days?

Dear all,

I'd like to walk from Porto to Santiago in 10 days. My friend who can only take 5 days holiday would like to join me for the second half of our pilgrimage. She lives in Bordeaux. Any suggestion where would be a good point for her to start, i.e. where she can get with the transports and we can still be in Santiago within 5 days?

If your friend wishes to follow Falcon's advice she can take a Eurolines bus from Bordeaux to Valenca do Minho and then walk across the river on Eiffel's International bridge to Tui. According to this map, she can start from Valenca (which is about middle way).
