The photo was taken on 13 October, last year. I know that I was near Población de Campos, and I think that the fence behind the hand was the boundary of an albergue. It was not far from the main road. Can you tell me the name of the albergue, if it was near an albergue. Any further info welcome, e.g. why? who? when?DSCN1203.JPG

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
The Finca Albergue! Strange place and I nearly walked away, but wow we had such a fantastic meal there, the best one of my camino. Big bowl of fresh salad, garlicky lentil soup, a tray of crispy fried eggs in olive oil, paprika ham slices, chips, bread, dessert and lovely red wine. It was amazing…

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
That’s a shame, it did feel a little neglected when I went and had a strange atmosphere. The owner wasn’t too friendly and we all were expecting a lousy dinner so we were all really grateful to be treated to the amazing feast put before us that night.

Thanks you, Sus1.
We stopped for photos by the giant hand early that morning.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
I went through Fromista (I think) and didn't see it. Does your photo have embedded GPS coordinates?
No, WG, my camera is rather primitive, though not all that old. It doesn't do GPS. I am happy to concur with Sus1 that the hand was next to the Albergue La Finca, Población de Campos. It can't have been there long (the hand) as it's not on Streetview. I suppose 8 years is quite a long time. [Streetview image July 2014] But none of the photos taken at the albergue in 2019 shows it. It must have been visible from the road, otherwise I would not have seen it and taken a photo.

Train for your next Camino (or keep the Camino spirit alive) on Santa Catalina Island
I don't understand how I didn't see the video in post #3 till now! Thanks, ApproachingBliss! Was it added later?

There was a wagon and a large crop of lavender in the same park on the right side of the camino heading west. I love lavender so I had to stop and take a sprig for a sachet in my pack. 😊

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
